Have been invited to attend a workshop to discuss the policy issues relevant to ICT infrastructure in Victoria and in particular the link between ICT infrastructure and community strengthening strategies.

Will be held at the Strategic Policy and Research Division, Department for Victorian Communities, Friday 20 August.

It appears a significant component of the workshop will be devoted to the future of VICNet within the broader state-wide context. Thus far the two papers tabled deal primarily with VICNet, not so much the " link between ICT infrastructure and community strengthening strategies", unless it is seen that VICNet provides such a link.

It will be an interesting(!) meeting and I'm looking forward to it.
