SMPTE 97
The theme of this year's Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers Conference is "New Technologies, New Opportunities". Historically, the event focuses on film and video technologies. As this year's theme suggests, there will be new insights and practical demonstrations of where broadcasting and production is moving in the digital age. This includes developments in Internet broadcasting, servers and archive systems.
SMPTE 97 will take place in Sydney from 1 - 4 July. Entrance to the exhibition is free, and conference fees are significantly discounted for students.
