Memory Effect 001 consists of three synthesised voices, each
comprised of a tone generator, a particle synthesiser (granulator)
and delays.
Root values
of the piece are based on a chromatic sequence (G#, A, Bb, B, C,
Db, D, Eb, E, F, Gb, G).
A three note
melody is played in voices 2 and 3 with Pattern Use values of 68%.
An additional Mutation Factor of 611/1000, provides significant
variation of the simple three note melody.
Voice 2 contains
a three note chord structure that varies in density over time. Voice
3 contains a two note chord structure carrying the same change values
as Voice 2.
The entire piece
cycles at 40 minute intervals and has been exported from KoanPro®
as a VectorAudio file. Less than 1kb, this file contains all attributes
to perform this piece generatively using the SKME®
(SSEYO KOAN MUSIC ENGINE) and the SKSE®
(SSEYO KOAN SYNTH ENGINE) available in this form as a Web browser
plugin.
Memory effect 001 was commissioned for the opening of the generative art conference, Iteration 2. |
