WomMed/FemMed Online
The WomMed/FemMed Network was created by participants of the 1995 Toronto International Symposium "Women and the Media: Access to Expression and Decision-making" organized by UNESCO. The Network brings together women and men from around the world who are working together to redress gender balance, reaffirming the importance of fluid and pluralistic communication for women's full participation in society and promoting all forms of democratic communication.
WomMed/FemMed have just launched their Web site, published in English, French and Spanish. It includes information about the Network, news of events and programs relating to women and communication, references to initiatives developed by members and links to relevant documents. It also contains an electronic version of the periodical Exchange Bulletin prepared by the Communications Department of UNESCO.
