These folks have set up a very impressive web lab where students develop sites. The lab considers process to be more important that any final 'product'. This notion interprets working on the web as being rather like dance or music - it is the ongoing nature of development which identifies internet multimedia as unique. UCLA's Media Lab is nestled within the famous film school and is on the same floor as the animation department. The department has a strong fine arts bias also, with many students exhibiting in gallery spaces around Los Angeles. 6
